After about two years, phasing out this journal. Don't have any new posts yet, but for directory purposes, new site located at www.livejournal.com/users/rectifying_clam. Handle: Rectifying_Clam. I'll get to posting there sooner or later. Just time for a change, I guess.

Haha... LJ boycott lasted a long time. Figured that if people can't handle cynicism and complaining, I figure they'll take me off their subscription lists. Anyway, I finally got things squared away with the Ultimate Frisbee league, and I'm looking for anyone who is interested in playing. I have a list of people that expressed interest a number of weeks ago, time to firm up a roster. Details are below:

Youth Ultimate Cincinnati, a divisional league of the Cincinnati Ultimate Players' Association
Membership is open to anyone (male or female) under 18 years of age or in their senior year of high school.

Schedule of Matches:

Week 1: March 13th, 2005 3-5pm
Week 2: March 20th, 2005 3-5pm
Week 3: April 3rd, 2005 3-5pm
Week 4: April 10th, 2005 3-5pm
Week 5: April 17th, 2005 3-5pm
Week 6: April 24th, 2005 3-5pm
Week 7: May 1st, 2005 3-5pm
Tournament: May 7th, 2005 Times TBA

It is preferable that anyone interested in playing be able to make it to at least 5/7 of the regular season matches and to the tournament as well. I have arranged with the league for us to be coached by Mr. Phil Sawin, a participant in the Cincinnati Masters League, and a former college player. He has coached teams at Sycamore and Wyoming in the past and has a lot to offer in terms of technique and play tactics.

The league is constituted of a number of teams (8 last year) of varying skill levels, and there is the potential for as much or as little competition as participants are interested in. A number of us would like to play seriously, but anyone who cares to join may contribute as according to his/her interest. Based on Mr. Sawin's availability, it appears that practices will be held after school (around 3:30, most likely) on Mondays and Wednesdays under his supervision, with his assistance. Additional practice times, if applicable, are up to our designation. Practice may begin as early as next Wednesday, February 9 and will be dictated by weather.

All of us are new to playing competitive Ultimate Frisbee, and this should be a fun learning/playing experience for all involved. If you or someone you know would be interested, please leave me a comment here or contact me at (513)-233-2359. There is a $35 registration fee involved, and this covers the cost of:
-A one year membership to the Ultimate Player's association
-A tee shirt
-A regulation Ultimate Frisbee
Additionally, a medical form and waiver are necessary, I have these forms for anyone interested. Please let me know if there are any questions. More information can be found at: www.cincyultimate.org

Hope to hear from people, should be a good time.

Journal is friends only. Please inquire if you wish to be added. Either comment here, or I can be reached on AIM at x4WhomTheBelTols or RectifyingCalm. Be cautioned, however, I generally only post when emotions run high. Working to break that trend.
